IUSSP Nomination Committee
At each General Assembly, there shall be elected a Committee on Nominations, consisting of seven members, all belonging to different nationalities. (art 11 §2 of the Constitution).
The Committee on Nominations meets to prepare a list of candidates for election as Honorary President, Officers and Council. In preparing this list, the Committee shall consult with the President and the Vice-President of the Union. The list must include at least two candidates for each Officer position, two candidates for each regional Council representative and two candidates for each open Council seat.
This list is then sent to all members of the Union. In addition to the list of candidates nominated for election in the above-described manner, members of the Union are invited to make alternative nominations if they so wish. Each such nomination must be accompanied by the signatures of at least 15 members of at least 5 different nationalities. See instructions for member nomination candidates.
