IUSSP 2005 Membership Subsidy Awards

In 2004 the UNFPA and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided generous grants for a Membership Subsidy Programme to build and strengthen scientific networks. The UNFPA and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) have agreed to continue support for this project in 2005. As part of this project the IUSSP is able to sponsor up to 100 IUSSP memberships in 2005 for population specialists from developing countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and transition countries in Eastern Europe. Eligibility for the Membership Subsidy is restricted to nationals residing in countries listed below and working in the field of population for national and local institutions. Only individuals who have never been IUSSP members are eligible to apply for the Subsidy Award. Applicants who otherwise qualify but are receiving international salaries are not eligible for an Award. The Award will cover membership dues for up to five years.

Deadline for applications: 1st October 2005
