Call for suggestions for the IUSSP Committee on Nominations

In the interest of increasing member participation in the process of nominating candidates for the 2017 Council Election, the Council invites members to submit names of up to 3 IUSSP members to serve on the Committee on Nominations in order to provide a pool of names from which Council can select 6 members each of a different nationality. The Committee members, along with the outgoing IUSSP President, will select candidates for the 2017 election slate for the 2018-2021 IUSSP Council. The 6 members selected by Council for the Committee of Nominations will be presented for approval to the General Assembly to be held on Thursday 29 August at 7:00 pm in Busan, Korea.

The Council invites members to make their suggestions before 1 June 2013 so that they can be considered for inclusion. Proposed individuals must be IUSSP members in good standing. Please check the IUSSP membership directory to be sure you recommend a current member. Before proposing a member, please make sure that this member would be willing to serve on the committee.  Individuals are also welcome to volunteer themselves.  Please note that members of the Committee on Nominations cannot nominate themselves for the 2017 Council elections.

The Nominations Committee may meet in person or “virtually” (via email and conference calls) in 2016 to propose candidates for the 2017 IUSSP Elections.
