Note: United Nations experts possessing passports or passes delivered by the UN are exempted from visa to enter Morocco.

All participants need:

  • A passport which is valid at least 6 months after the date of your entry to Marrakech,
  • To complete the standard form distributed on the airplane or at the airport.

For Participants that Require a Visa
Do not forget to apply for it as soon as possible to avoid any trouble (before the end of June 2009 is advised).
If you are from a country for which a visa to enter Marrakech is required, please contact your closest Moroccan consulate/embassy, for the visa application procedure.

Should you experience any difficulties applying for a Moroccan visa, please send an email to falaoui@statistic.gov.ma with “Visa Problem” in the subject line, with a copy of the first 6 pages of the passport in PDF format

If there is no Moroccan embassy in your country of residence, please send an email to Mrs El Alaoui: falaoui@statistic.gov.ma providing the following information:

Surname, First name, Passport number, Date of issue, Nationality, Country of Residence, , Date of expiry, and Flight Information: Airport end Terminal of arrival, Flight number at arrival airport, Arrival date, Arrival time, Departure date, Departure time


Transit Visas

  • Please remember to check the visa requirements of the countries where you will transit on your way to Marrakech.

NOTE: The 2009 International Population Conference is unable to provide financial support for the visa process.
