Website Launch: Community Demographic Model (CDM). The CDM is a product of the Population Council’s initiative on Population, Environmental Risks, and the Climate Crisis (PERCC). The new website is freely available to everyone with an internet connection, giving the global climate science community access to one of the most detailed, complex, dynamic, and policy-relevant population modeling tools in the world. We are celebrating the launch of the CDM with a webinar on Wednesday, December 1 at 10:30 AM – 12 PM EST. Register here. We are excited to convene experts including Deborah Balk, Jose Miguel Guzman, and Brian O’Neill to discuss applications of the CDM and the importance of scenario-based modeling in understanding the human-environment nexus.
