The APAI- CRVS Secretariat at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the Centre of Excellence for CRVS Systems, and the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD) invite you to a virtual learning series to share good practices for facilitating the continuous and universal registration of vital events in Africa. These innovative approaches are mitigating the impact of COVID-19 on the performance of civil registration systems and are supporting the generation of data for health surveillance during a health crisis.  The purpose is to inspire and guide efforts to enhance the functioning of CRVS systems during emergencies.

This learning series will begin with a webinar on Thursday 10th December 2020 3:30-5pm East Africa Time (7:30-9am Eastern Standard Time). Follow up expert dialogue sessions in January 2021 will allow more interactive discussion and engagement around the topics presented in the webinar in smaller group settings.

More details on the expert dialogue sessions will be provided during the webinar.

The technical briefs documenting these good practices can be found: http://apai-crvs.org/node/246
