International Conference on Family Planning Announces New Dates for Sixth Conference in Pattaya City, Thailand: 14-17 November 2022

Announcing ICFP’s “Not Without FP Forum,” A Virtual Dialogue for the FP Community

It is our privilege to invite you to participate in ICFP’s Not without FP Forum: A Virtual Dialogue for the FP Community, being held February 2-3, 2021. This 2-day virtual gathering for the global health community will serve as a platform to discuss COVID-19’s impact on the family planning and reproductive health community, as well as family planning’s essential role in universal health coverage. This entirely virtual convening will serve as a springboard toward the in-person ICFP, taking place November 14-17, 2022 in Pattaya City, Thailand.

This special virtual convening will feature engaging digital programming on ICFPLive!, a Virtual Exhibit Hall, dedicated community engagement spaces, and two special plenary sessions. This community forum is partner-driven and will include a mix of plenary sessions, community dialogues, and engagement opportunities. And best of all, it’s being made free of charge to the ICFP community! (Registration will open October 2020.)

The coming year is pivotal for the family planning community as we reflect on the progress made and challenges ahead in reaching the ambitious FP2020 goal of enabling an additional 120 million women and girls to access high-quality, voluntary contraceptive commodities and services. The 2021 ICFP showcases how innovation and collaboration will accelerate progress towards universal access to reproductive health and family planning—these services save lives, improve economies, empower women and girls, and figuratively and literally transform our world—and focus on garnering new and renewed commitments from governments, donors, organizations, and individuals to achieve the FP2030 goals.

ICFP’s Not Without FP Forum will be accessible to the entire family planning and reproductive health community, as well as other development sectors and the larger community of human rights and humanitarian advocates worldwide. The forum will bring us together to share scientific research, best practices, and learnings—specifically regarding UHC and the impact of COVID-19—throughout the FP2020 commitment period, and chart a course forward.

The 2021 ICFP theme, “Family Planning & Universal Health Coverage: Innovate. Collaborate. Accelerate.” underscores our belief that universal health coverage will not be successful without integrated, and comprehensive, family planning programs.

Please save the date and join us for this global digital convening of the family planning, reproductive health, and global development communities worldwide.

Registration information, details about sessions, and ways to engage will be available in October 2020 on ICFP2021.org.
