The Asian Demographic Research Institute (ADRI) (https://adri.shu.edu.cn/) at Shanghai University invites international scholars to apply for its 2024 International Visiting Scholar Program under the Asian MetaCentre for Population and Sustainable Development Analysis. The program brings up to five scholars each year for one to three months of collaboration with ADRI researchers. They will exchange knowledge and ideas, and conduct research internationally. 

 

As the headquarters of the Asian MetaCentre for Population and Sustainable Development Analysis, ADRI is committed to promoting research excellence and advancing population studies in Asia. The International Visiting Scholar Program will enhance collaboration between MetaCentre member institutes and individual scholars. It will also bring fruitful research outcome and contribute to the overall development of demographic research in the region. 

 

Scholars from all disciplines related to demographic research are welcome to apply. This includes demography, sociology, economics, statistics, environmental sciences, public health, geography and social policy. Priority will be given to associate or full professors based in Asian countries or who carry out studies on Asia-related demographic topics. 

 

ADRI will provide financial assistance to cover visiting scholars' international travel and living expenses. Scholars will have access to ADRI’s research facilities and can work with our experienced researchers on their projects.
