Mr. Azongo is a Social Epidemiologist with over 16 years of experience in longitudinal population-based health research. He was the manager of the Navrongo Health and Demographic Surveillance System and is currently an Epidemiologist on the GSK RTS,S/AS01E Malaria vaccine studies in charge of field-related activities. In these roles, he oversees field activities and is responsible for writing technical reports, manuscripts, and research grant proposals. He has played a key role in the design and implementation of various research projects, including studies on maternal and child health and health systems interventions, antimalarial drugs and malaria vaccine studies and evaluation of health interventions. His research interests include child and maternal health interventions, implementation research, mortality estimations, non-communicable diseases and monitoring, evaluation and learning.

9th African Population Conference

 

The 9th African Population Conference, organized by the Union for African Population Studies (UAPS), will be held in Lilongwe, Malawi, 20-24 May 2024 on the theme: “Road to 2030: Leveraging Africa’s human capital to achieve transformation in a world of uncertainty”.
